Obviously none of us here know the truth. But if two of his kids and his ex-wife accuse him of molesting his daughter AND he is married to his ex-wife's daughter (who, for all intents and purposes was HIS step-daughter), you got to admit it DOESN'T LOOK GOOD.

So, I have to wonder, is this lawsuit really the best move for Woody? Doesn't it just draw him deeper into the scandal?

It doesn't look good for Mia either being accused of child abuse and having other children end up dead in sketchy circumstances. She broke up a marriage too, with her behavior. Not a nice person and perhaps capable of deceit.

The scandal has been around for decades and just won't go away. There is no 'deeper' to be drawn into.

He and his ex-wife were in a custody/divorce dispute and there are thousands of cases of false abuse allegations being used in similar situations.

And as far as the accusations from his kids, read up a bit on false memory. His ex-wife for years told the kids over and over and over her story about what happened. That can (and in numerous cases has) result in the kids believing what they were repeatedly told. Even to the point where they can pass a lie detector.

Disillusioned..."I never really liked him anyway". OK! See how that works next time your boss says, "You're fired and I'm not paying you any salary owing....cuz I never really liked you anyway!". Fancy lawsuit coming Mr. SmallPants!!!

@gogogo

Different strokes. He made a handful of great films and a truck load of mediocre stuff. But, his great ones are really important, unique and interesting. They were part of the zeitgeist of the era, especially 70s/80s. His type of humor was hugely influential. I agree he never progressed much. Anyway, to me, His accuser is glomming onto #metoo with a case that really hasn't anything to do with it. One child says he was the abuser, the other accuses Mia. Several of Mia's kids ended up dead and she herself broke up a marriage as an extremely young girl with an older guy. The lot of them are wacky. Why does it hit with #metoo? Simply because we're expected to believe girls (Dylan) and disregard child abuse against boys (Moses)? Sadly, Farrow is still a UNESCO rep with the presumption of innocence she doesn't deserve any more than Allen's presumption of guilt.

I don’t agree with Woody Allen. However, legally he is in the right. His case and things that he is accused of is public and common knowledge. Amazon will be held liable because of this. Just because you don’t like the outcome of something, you can’t cancel the deal based on previously known and common knowledge.

Good on him, no proof then don't make public claims or slander a person.

Woody Allen should have his movies taken down. He claims they are only allegations; however, look at his current relationship with Farrows previously adopted daughter. He claims the relationship began when she was an adult but there is no telling when they truly became close since they began spending a lot of time together when she was in JHS.

That relationship shows where his moral compass may fall.

A very popular R&B who is in the news now was consistently found not guilty regardless of evidence and testimony to the contrary.

I believe Moses. Woody is guilty of being a narcissist. If that killed movie deals, Hollywood would be bankrupt tomorrow.

The case against him was proved "baseless" in court. And yet the stigma still hangs around his neck.

The he said - she said mob "justice" meted out by this overly PC country and self-righteous MeTooers will destroy many. "Anything anyone says can and will be used against you in a court of law." ...."and social media."

Woody seems to have forgotten that in today's New Puritanical America, you are guilty even if an official investigation and court find you innocent and your accusers suffer from mental-health conditions.
