You're done! Now go back to your NY penthouse and stop pretending to be as popular as your husband!

You have nothing to say ...

What ever you do Yoko, just don't sing!

3 ( +6 / -3 )

and also hold a live performance at the weekend.

OMG...glad I am not there.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Anyone else sick of this woman?

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Just because she slept with a great muscian doesn't mean the talent was transferred to her. I'm with gogogo; she needs to shut her pie hole. BTW, what ever happened to her son? Did he give up his singing career and is happy being a trust fund baby?

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

BTW, what ever happened to her son?

He pops up from time to time. He's doing TV commercials for Honda now. He's that hairy hippy looking guy in the Honda Freed CM. He needs to stop too. Julian Lennon is the one who inherited the talent from his dad, and should be the one in front of an audience...not these two numb nuts!

stop riding coat tails will ya

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

She is entering India on "Entertainment Visa" or....?

-3 ( +0 / -3 )

I notice there isn't a knowledgable word about her life art from the critics here. Two things: She came from a wealthy Japanese banker's family and didn't need any financial support from John. Second, she was an estabished artist and member of the "Fluxus" art movement BEFORE she met John. They met in London as a consequence of her art. So make a valid criticism knowing some facts beforehand, go to Wikipedia.

. Second, she was an estabished artist and member of the "Fluxus" art movement BEFORE she met John.

She must have lost that "art" thing, somewhere in her life, then.

Since when does being established mean being good? Money or not, her art would be a far gone memory if it was not for the Lennon connection. But, I will admit it is a notch above her singing...ugh.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Let's hope she doesn't strip down and do another nude shoot. Crusty old boobies.

-1 ( +5 / -6 )

They are a good match she should stay there, never has been and never will be anything

"She must have lost that "art" thing, somewhere in her life, then."

"Money or not, her art would be a far gone memory if it was not for the Lennon connection."

As I said, if you want to criticize her art, fine, but know your subject better. Most of her music happened later in life. Have any of you ever been to one of her art exhibitions? I went to the "Yes Yoko Ono" exhibition in NYC.

From Wiki: " In 2001, YES YOKO ONO, a forty-year retrospective of Ono's work, received the prestigious International Association of Art Critics USA Award for Best Museum Show Originating in New York City, considered one of the highest accolades in the museum profession."

“I don’t think my work is ‘cutting edge’

Neither do I.

“Each live show is different depending on who is there and what feeling I get from the audience,” she said.

Forgetting the lyrics I suppose.

Ono said she didn’t know what would happen with her live show in India

Cancelled I would hope.

LOL!

If I may, I would like to apologize in advance, to my Indian friends for the torture you will endure when this show kicks off. Her show does not reflect the opinions, thoughts or ideas of the U.S. and Japan.

Some experts have stated that by 2030, India will be the world's leading economy ahead of America, China, Japan and probably Brazil will be in second place.

Not quite. According to IMF projections by 2030 China will have the largest GDP closely followed by the US with India a distant third, Japan fourth and Brazil seventh. Even by 2050 the US is still forecast to be slightly ahead of India with Brazil having the fourth largest GDP and Japan the eighth.

You cannot use Wikipedia as the only source on information on Yoko Ono since her site (like most personality sites) are usually initially developed by the said personality or their agent, but allowing for additions/corrections by interested parties...

Wow, India?

More like scare-off India.

She and that other one, the one which still uses Jaggr for a last name. Coattail riding at its worst.

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

As a 'vocal feminist', will Ono be crusading against the Indian practice of bride burning and disappearance of baby girls?

-5 ( +1 / -6 )

Smells like curry

-4 ( +0 / -4 )

The woman is a shameless publicity monger with no talent in either art or music.

-2 ( +3 / -5 )

Put her on their cricket team.

0 ( +2 / -2 )

@akkk1, excuse me, what do you mean by bride burning and disappearance of baby girls? Can you care to explain?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I would have more respect for Yoko Ono as an artist if she didn't feel compelled to use the word "John" in every interview, regardless of the subject.

2 ( +3 / -1 )

Oh jeez...Is one of her pieces going to be an orange sitting on a pedestal with a little sign that says "orange" next to it? Really brilliant... (=_=)

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

Among her most striking live performances is a show when people are encouraged to use scissors to cut pieces off her clothes............................

Wonder who's braver ? Ono or the audience. I will do it only if i am blindfolded.

Conceptual art usually is over the head of most people, hence these childish comments.

0 ( +1 / -1 )

Oh, sorry. As an artist and musician as well as one who appreciates many types of art, do I have to state everything that I've done in my time in order to have my opinion?

She's one artist that has done work that just doesn't happen to impress me.

-1 ( +1 / -2 )

Wow. Still so much hate on for Yoko. Some people here should read an article or two more than this one about the lady before tearing her down. RangerMiffy and Paulinusa seem to know what's going on.

@Ranger_Miffy2

Conceptual art usually is over the head of most people, hence these childish comments.

Conceptual art? So basically when someone does something - anything at all - like wrap themselves up in cloth and allow people to use a pair of scissors so they can cut off pieces - that is art? Is that the concept? How about if Yono hired a homeless man and had him pee on pieces of cloth laid out on the sidewalk - is that art too? You could say there is a concept to that so it would be art right? Yeah, I guess that's over my head. There is a certain subjectivity to any real definition of art but it stretches the lines of credulity to call what Ono does "art". It's sad but probably true that art peaked 500 years ago and it has been going downhill ever since.

Hmmm, so how well regarded is Yoko Ono among conceptual artists then? And why doesn't this conceptual artist let her art speak for her instead of always saying "John this, John that"?

Or perhaps that is her concept, a permanent vicarious existence?

1 ( +1 / -0 )

So did India get WOWed? Or Pissed?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

her experimental work

Otherwise commonly known as 'wailing like a cat whose tail has been stepped on'.
