Convenience store Seven-Eleven Japan on Monday started accepting reservations for its new special lunch box product in cooperation with the agent of popular Korean actor Bae Yong-jun.

The new lunch box features traditional Korean food using vegetables which used to be common in the ancient Goguryeo era on the Korean Peninsula. Reservations will be accepted through June 8 and the product will be available on June 13, 14 and 15.

That's pretty cool. Nice to see these cross cultural exchanges happening all the time, contrary to what others may have you believe.

Any J-man who knowingly purchases a "Yong-sama lunch box" needs to receive an immediate vasectomy. A man with that low a testosterone level cannot be allowed to reproduce. Unless, he is sly enough to be buying these as presents for J-ladies that he wants to hit on. In that case, he deserves a hearty congratulations.

telecasterplayer, there is even Winter Sonata 2...

I have to go Korea next month, and among the "social activities" offered at that meeting there is a "Winter Sonata tour", they take you to the bus stop where the guy said something to that chick, or to the coffee shop where he said something else and so on. It's so incredibly stupid that I may go :)

tomeon, "WS2"? What, does the guy with the scarf get his sight back, or is it a new set of incredibly dense players who need some time figure out that the guy who looks EXACTLY like their friend, IS their (bleep) friend?

Brilliant! Just what the world needs now!

How DO these marketers keep on coming up with ideas that brighten our lives so well? Simply amazing!

As for the actor - OBVIOUSLY talented...for a Korean of course! ;)
