Leader of popular rock band X Japan Yoshiki appeared as a surprise guest on the weekend at the U.S. anime festival "Anime Central in Chicago 2010," delighting some 10,000 fans. Yoshiki announced plans for the band to make their U.S. debut at the Lollapalooza music festival during the final day on Aug 8.
This year's festival promises a variety of big-name musicians such as Lady Gaga and Green Day. Yoshiki said: "We plan to go in hard!"
Yoshiki also announced the band will perform later this year at Nissan Stadium in Yokohama.

Is Yoshiki the former YOSHIKI? I've seen that guy. His and his buddies stopped by a 7-11 to pick up a few things.
