Yuko Oshima, who "graduated" from popular all-girl idol group AKB48 on June 9, started a Twitter account on June 19. In the first hour, she had over 20,000 followers, Nikkan Sports reported Friday.
Oshima, 25, promised her fans that she would tweet often and about many topics as she embarks on her post-AKB48 career. Last week, she was in Brazil as a special TV reporter for Fuji TV to cover the opening of the World Cup.

Ah, so happy for Yuko chan! I can't wait for the new AKB documentary that is coming out on July 4th! Looks like it will focus on Yuko chan's graduation and her success in AKB. I am so proud of her! She looked happy doing the WORLD CUP announcements too.
