Mad Magazine still exists? Who knew?
Nicky Washida
Wow! Don`t hold back will you?!
nath
What, me worry?
WordStar
Nice to know MAD's still in business. I see on the cover that Sarah Palin is also featured in the issue. Now I have to find a way to buy a copy.

I used to love that magazine - especially the inside back cover and spy vs spy.

Bieber, the face of Canada.
sctaber56
I've seen the Bieber on several talk shows plus SNL this past week (Yes, he IS everywhere!!) and, you know, he actually is very talented and, for a 16 year old, very articulate and funny. And now that his pubescent voice is changing, shifting slightly to a lower range, I can actually stand listening to him sing. Maybe I'm catching "Bieber Fever" - oh my!!

I love to watch the Bieber hate. People who don't even know him bash him..I don't really care for his music but he's gotta eat too.

Who buys mad magazine?

"There is no doubt that Justin Bieber is everywhere"
no he isnt. who is he?(have top google him) who is he outside of america or more importantly Japan.

So far, I'm doing pretty avoiding this annoying kid. However, Mad Magazine hits the right note.
saborichan
I DO wonder who actually buys it. Maybe some old men with lifetime subscriptions.

Having Alfred E. Neuman impersonate him on the cover of MAD is definitely the highlight of Bieber's career.

Every generation has its icons...we have to accept them.
His music indeed sucks in my opinion but disliking him for his success is an admission my own failure...

The babyface of Canada.
Yeah me too. If MAD thinks they have a lot of material with Bieber they'd have a field day with the trash that Japan puts out.

Never bought a copy. I would just fold the back cover, look at what it was, and then put it back on the stand ;-)

The Alfred E. Beiber cover does make me laugh and the "Obama vs. the other 42 presidents" does catch my eye. As for Justin Beiber himself he's just another tween to teen heart-throb, nothing to be jealous about or worth hating on for any reason. Back in my teeny bopper years only the young jealous males were hating on the New Kids on the Block and other boy bands/singers back in the day. It happened in Elvis' time same with James Dean and so on. Nothing to see here folks, move along xD
papigiulio
lol at all the haters here. Jealous much? Not that I am a fan.

Bieber's an idiot, but there's obviously no denying his popularity. My favourite thing about him though was that he didn't understand what the word 'German' meant in the interview with the Aussie a year or so back. What a dolt!
As for MAD, while I haven't seen a copy of the mag since I was a kid, they publish some hilarious online articles, and of course there was Mad TV a while back (not sure if it's still going), which was so-so. Anyway, Neumann deserves respect -- he's been around a lot longer than Bieber will be, and has enjoyed a long run of success.

He is the Western manifestation of empty vacuous pop music. A hair oriented culture where hair and "looks" are desired over any kind of tangible talent. This kid is an annoying little prat that will likely grow up to be a drug addled multi-divorced alcoholic with a longer list of therapists than friends.
And no, Papiqiulio, I am not jealous. I would rather be just about anything other than some kind of empty headed pop idol. And overall very happy to be me my friend.
MapleG
Interesting comment--hmm, Japan doesn't have any vacous pop music, does it?
Fadamor
Just another in a long line of fodder for the teen magazines. In my teen years it was little Michael Jackson when he was with the Jackson 5, David Cassidy, then David's little brother Shaun. They come they blaze brightly for a few years, then sputter and disappear once they lose the babyface.

hmm, the beatles didn't exactly come out with Abbey Road as their first album, look what Justim Timberlake has done since his "bubblegum days"

It would be awesome to be on the cover of MAD magazine! I'm sure he likes it too, if he knows about it. Do kids these days know about MAD?
ubikwit
Another over hyped under-aged deluded manifestation of an overblown ego aimed by the mass-marketing/mass-media-advertising complex to divert the youth of the usa from doing something worthwhile.
not unlike aka AKA48 or whatever the number of the mass-marketing advertising project in JAPAN who have no connection to each other or to life in general outside of the company fold.
and the company will fold...
Apsara
The interviewer was with a New Zealander in New Zealand to be accurate, and the strong accent did throw him off, but it was weird that Bieber than claimed not to understand "German", which should have been clear.

I have never seen so much for hate for a kid just for existing. Either he's not "manly" enough or it's that he's not making "real" music.. or it's just that he's EVERYWHERE and it's cool to hate him. I do not understand people, at all.
I used to read MAD when I was younger. I haven't seen that magazine in ages.
