CNN's Larry King exits after 25 years

I must confess, I am CNN junky! I love Larry King, think real name was something like Kingsburg? Anyway Larry, we all love you, keep up the good work, if CNN can not appreciate you, plenty of others will, how about interviewing that old ding bat dictator and nutty son LIVE over in North Korea?

I think his real surname was much, much more Jewish. His boss gave him the name King from a newspaper ad because at the the time Jewish names didnt go down well in Florida! Can you imagine!

Larry has done well, hundreds of celebrity interviews, nine wives, thousands of packs of Marlboro Red and millions of squillions of dollars. A life well lived - and he aint even dead!

I liked his work from the early days when he was doing serious work, not so much the recent interviews with the Jersey Shore group and the like.

Never saw a movie he didn't like.

Too many mainstream people on his show. He never interviewed someone who needed more than 15 seconds to answer a question. Well...maybe Ventura. That`s about it.

shudder. Who could stand watching this self-obsessed individual and former gutter press editor. I've seen a couple of his ITV specials, that was enough for me.

"The Frog" is finally leaving. I don't think he asked a single "hardball" question of his guests in his entire 25-year stint. Where is CNN going to find another host willing to lob those softball questions for decades at a time?

After the first wife and that ALIMONY, I would have given up on marriage. NINE wives, and he is making that much money. Can't he see that they are all gold-diggers. All he has to do is to look in the mirror. Sometimes it is a good idea to not repeat one's mistakes.

Like Larry King the person, but can't stand his show and interviews. He's much better talking than asking questions.

No disrespect, but his time has gone awhile ago, with the likes of Walter Cronkite, Peter Jennings, etc. alongside him. Larry King was just one of the last few stragglers of a bygone era.

Talking to anchors/interviewers is not as it used to be, now that interviewees have so many venues to control and shape their image and disseminate their message.

King was good as it gets during that golden age though.

Does anyone know where I can find a link to King's interview with Sinatra? I can only find about 35 seconds of it, which seems a sinful waste.

But then the UK replaces them with Australia's cast-off's (Peter Andre, Germaine Greer & the Minogues) so it seems the net population of alleged celebrities is intact.

Wasn't a huge fan of Larry King but even lees likely to appreciate the "talents" od Piers Moron. Celeb obsessed and shallow - unlikely to be up to Larry's mediocre standard even.

The king of blablabla finally gone, what a relief. Some years ago he even mistook the Dalai Lama for being Moslem. What a joke.

Yes I used to watch him on those long lonely nights when it was on at midnight in Australia. I was actually just waiting for the NBC Today show and my favourite weathercaster Big Al Roker.
