I think I'd listen to the consensus of the 1000's of scientists who contribute to the IPCC and are experts in their fields, rather Professor Peter Ridd who was sacked for misconduct and now works for the rightwing thinktank the Institute of Public Affairs.

Thanks for saving me the trouble of refuting the GreenPiss garbage. It's going to be a terrible loss when the reef goes (along with all the other ones), but the appetite for ignorant and/or malicious lies from the likes of the above just confirms that we're not going to get on top of this. Worse is yet to come.

It is scary to look at the damage we are doing to our environment, and to think what things will look like a few years down the road.

Was the biggest living thing. It haft dead now. It all start to go wrong when Captain Cook run aground on the the reef back in 1770 and some virus/ cancer from the Northern hemisphere got released into the reef system and like a cancer slowly ate away to the corals resulting in todays damage.

Dr. Johnson, a former research scientist at the New South Wales Department of Natural Resources, allowed for the considerable seasonal variations in temperature across the reef but concluded that nothing much had changed. He said there was no evidence that the system regulating temperature had broken down “or is likely to break down in the future”.

In October 2020, the BBC reported that the Great Barrier Reef had lost half of its coral since 1995, citing a report that said it was due to “warmer seas driven by climate change”. But Professor Peter Ridd, who has spent 40 years observing the reef, noted recently that it was in robust good health. Coral growth rates have if anything “increased over the last 100 years”.
