Talk about reaching...

What reaching are you talking about? it was the explicit reason given to cancel the money:

In a Feb. 14 email canceling the grant, the Forest Service wrote that the award "no longer effectuates agency priorities regarding diversity, equity, and inclusion programs and activities.”

lol. Fabricated

This is a perfectly valid example that proves the point, what evidence do you have the information reported is fabricated?

Putin's stooge, destroying America as fast as he can.

There isn't any proof there was fabrication.

Its not a "push against environmental justice initiatives"

Its a push against wastage and pink elephant projects. To cite that it is a push against "environ .. initiatives", you would need to back that up with something specific.

Its not a "push against environmental justice initiatives"

This is an environmental justice initiative that was axed because of the push, so it is perfectly valid to describe it this way.

Its a push against wastage and pink elephant projects.

The article makes a very good point in justifying the project and the benefits obtained from it, just because is something you personally don't benefit from that does not make something wastage or a pink elephant, that is just you trying to impose a personal opinion as if it were a fact. Specially when you don't even argue (much less present any evidence) of waste.
