There's a lot of dead satellites in orbit already. They're just junk heaps that contain petered out batteries and they're a potential hazard for the space stations we have now. They need to be programmed to fall into the Earth's atmosphere to be burned up or set to self-destruct when their time is up. As an amateur astronomer they are interesting to catch once in a while but there comes a time when the junk has to cleared away.
