JT. Please fix the headline *"Canadian polar BEARS on southern edge of Arctic dying at fast rate"*

Moderator: Thanks for pointing that out. It has been fixed.

Unfortunately polar bears are just one of the first species of big mammals to suffer this kind of drastic reduction, in the following years other species will follow and likely will become extinct even if drastic measures are taken to deal with the problem.

Perhaps they need to find a way of getting food to these starving animals to keep enough alive to keep the species out of danger. Not to feed them all the time, but to provide enough that they can hunt food and be given some food for survival. They will eventually adapt to new environmental normal and will no longer need supplemented food.

With their habitat disappearing, it is inevitable that they will have to adapt, or go extinct. If and when the Arctic goes ice free in summer, there will be many fewer of them.
