Maybe the only way to solve the environmental problem is to make conscious a philosophy so utterly dispiriting that most humans will give up, if not their own lives, their will to carry on through progeny. To a large extent it is already taking hold in many societies though not on a level of conscious thought. The feeling of doom is only being resisted by men and women huddling together and shouting inanities to give themselves courage in the dark. That seems to be all they have.

Just a way to make you pay taxes, and some to get richer.

True. It's like it is not happening. The trouble is that climate change gets 95% of the focus, even though it is only one of the problems, and if people can ignore or deny or even talk up climate change it's like all the other problems - species loss, ecosystem loss, desertification, ocean acidification, ocean dead zones, river poisonings, persistent organic pollutants, and all the rest - are either too insignificant or solved too.

Ive noticed that there are always very few or mostly no comments when it comes to the enviroment.....Ignore at your own risk. Lets just all look the other way and pretend that everything is ok.
