China is the leader of green energy. China produces about 80% of all solar panels made globally. 70% of the world's wind turbines are manufactured in China, over 60% of electric vehicles sold worldwide are made in China, and holds over 70% of the global manufacturing capacity for lithium-ion batteries.

If the countries produced the products that they are paying China to produce, they would use even more energy.

The scale of production reduces energy consumption.

The world's second-largest economy is the biggest emitter of the greenhouse gases that drive climate change, but also a renewable energy powerhouse. It plans to reach net zero by 2060.

Thank you China for sacrificing your clean air and environment to make products for the world.

Coal production has risen steadily in recent years, from 3.9 billion tons in 2020 to 4.8 billion tons in 2024.

This is the most in the world. India No.2 is at 0.98 billion. Australia 0.46 billion tons at No. 6.

What these mainstream media articles never tell you is that the emissions from China are high because they manufacture your buckets and bolts. Per capita, it is still lower than America, even with American manufacturing at a pitiful state. The percentage of energy from renewable sources in China is increasing at a fast rate.

From western AI sources:

Yes, the number of new coal power plants being built in China is significantly decreasing, with recent reports showing a sharp decline in coal power plant approvals and a trend towards increased investment in renewable energy sources like solar and wind, indicating a potential turning point in China's reliance on coal power.

And China should not have been allowed to be an manufacturing destination to take advantage of dirty coal.

And so are their coal plants.

The scale of production reduces energy consumption.

So does not using inferior technology and not having a government more concerned about staying in power than the environment.

Switching from coal to natural gas while building clean energy sources as quickly as possible would make sense for China (and every country), especially since natural gas is not only cleaner than coal, but cheaper.
