This is not just an arbitrary number but depends completely on the temperatures being recorded, what part of the conclusions is invalid according to you?

The punishing heatwave that scorched India and Pakistan in March and April was made 30 times more likely by climate change, experts in quantifying the impact of global warming on extreme weather events said in a rapid-response report released this week.

Well, since we are looking back at a past event, sure, why not go with 30 times?
