Greenland's massive ice cap has lost 4.7 trillion tons of ice, contributing to a sea level rise of 1.2 centimeters on its own

The real threat are the tipping points which can start unstoppable cycles or warming/melting (feedback loops).

Melting in Greenland is reducing the altitude of the icesheet. The warmer temperatures at the lower altitudes will of course add to the warming process....
