Ask Saipan. They've already got hit and both typhoon and hurricane seasons are just starting.

I'm more interested in the upcoming Typhoon season affecting Japan than the Atlantic Ocean.

The good news is that Atlantic hurricanes that have reached the US mainland have been decreasing the past few decades according to US government statistics.

The only source you have provided is literally decades old, that is not something that can support your claim. Scientist have repeatedly said hurricanes are expected to be much more destructive thanks to human activity derived climate change.

How is that, when I didn't even provide a source--until now. LOL.

And lo and behold, going back from now to over 70 years we see hurricanes have decreased compared to the 90 years before.

So, science shows the decrease in hurricanes hitting US mainland.

The worse one for us was Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Stopped about one mile short of our Florida home. Most properties were destroyed but we survived undamaged. I wasn't visiting at the time but my parents were there.

Your own source clearly contradict the claim you are making,

From your link

Between 2011 and 2020, 19 hurricanes made landfall in the United States, the same figure reported in the previous decade. This is the highest number recorded for a 10-year timespan since the 1940's, which holds the current record for most landfalls, with 24 hurricanes. In 2021, only two hurricanes - Ida and Nicholas - made landfall in the U.S.

What is the point of claiming something just to refute it yourself with a source that says the contrary of what you claimed?
