Yeah, looks like that ship has sailed. Temperatures have warmed, sea levels have risen, seawater is more acidic - the warning signs are on red, but still we can't get our stupid act together. Are we the most stupid species ever to have existed? Do we prove that "civilised" life is unsustainable once again and that life always devolves back to unicellular creatures to restore equilibrium (The Medea Hypothesis)?

Einstein used to say that he is aware of only two infinite things - the universe and human stupidity, but he is not sure about the first.

And also by blowing up people's pipelines. The wanton destruction of the Nord Stream pipeline released a further 388,000 tonnes of methane into the atmosphere.
