Rising seas test defenses of South American ports

Ports and cities around the world are being impacted by rising sea levels. If this phenomenon were limited, or temporary, then sea walls would be practical. Given that we have yet to act in a meaningful way to stop global warming, and that even if we could magically stop emitting green house gases, CO2 has a half life in the atmosphere of about a century.

I see no action that will protect coastal cities and harbors except to move them to higher ground.

Whole cities in Asia and along the east coast of North and South America will be submerged by rising seas. Tokyo, Shanghai, Jakarta, Miami, Jacksonville, Savannah, Charleston, Norfolk, on and on, all doomed.
