Solar panels are a good thing, but less so in (on) apartment blocks, where you have less roof space per resident. There have been installation issues in the UK, and they require maintenance which is neither easy nor cheap.

They may not be an option if you have an old roof, or if you cannot spare the sort of cash needed for up-front costs.

Artificially increasing energy bills will not force the poor to install green energy solutions. It will just make them even poorer. Accept that wealthy people, state housing and new builds will be first on the list.

We need more solar farms. Australia could generate green energy from its vast outback, rather than using it for cattle ranching, herding them using helicopters.
