Politicians focus on the short term. They try to 'win the day', regardless of what occurs. That is how they cement their position for tomorrow. They do not plan three weeks ahead, never mind thirty years. They do not prevent bad things from happening (such as invasions of other peoples countries). They just manage the damage as it happens, in a way that makes them to look good.

And unfortunately, politicians run the planet. So what did the scientists expect?

If it helps, whilst we view Covid as a dangerous virus, and the vaccines as a cure, in ecosystemic terms, humanity is a dangerous virus and Covid is a cure. And Covid (or Covid 2) may yet win the day.

Has anyone calculated the amount of pollution being released by the war against Ukraine? And here I worry about my little car and my single stove.

And yet the same frauds who have been leading the drum-banging over that time continue to live in their energy-buzzing homes by the sea and travel around the world in private jets and yachts. All the while tell we the plebs to cut back on our CO2 emissions.

Reminds me of what George Carlin once said:

"The planet is fine. The people are f****d because everyone is trying to save the planet.

The planet doesn't need that. The planet will take care of itself.

People are selfish. And that's what they're doing is trying to save the planet for themselves to have a nicer place to live.".

He was right.

Global warming is a non-issue. Human carbon emissions will decrease naturally once the planet runs out of fossil fuels to burn.

We were protesting about the environment in the 1960s and 70s. Publishing newspapers and magazines. The predictions turned to truth.

In fact, not a single one did.

The coasts are not under water. We have more food than ever on an ever greening earth, acid rain (remember that tall one from the 80's?) was a manufactured lie, the whales and polar bears are doing great, and wherever capitalism and free markets were allowed to flourish, the better the environment.

Environmentalism is religion for those that eschew the real deal.

Humans have to put their leap of faith somewhere, and this is where many end up.

So what is the take away? What should the politicians do?

So what is the take away? What should the politicians do?

Well, this is the big question once the virtue-signaling is over with.

Heres what politicians are to do;

Destroy the economies around the world where the poorest of the poor freeze in the dark while the 1st world countries pull up the ladders behind them.

Everyone loses.

As if you care for the poor. As if you have the imagination to see beyond your own infinitesimally short time on this earth. As if if you care for anything apart from you.

The climate change theories have one goal, depriving a large number of people of a modern life and human rights. Did you know that about 6 million people, according to the WHO, die annually in developping countries because of inadequate energy supply? And no, those mainly subsaharan Africans do not die from climate change and they are dying right now!

I just explained by concern for the plight of millions around the world who would be devastated by the policies you support.

How is it that you care more about people like me?

Dr. Keeling started his CO2 studies in Hawaii in the 1950s. I first read about his studies in 1960. That was the first time I became aware of the problem, and the implications were clear even then, although I did not expect global warming to accelerate as much as it has.

They weren't. In the 1970's we were supposed to freeze to death.

Take note. The Pleistocene Ice Age, which we are currently in, is STILL cooling. The last ice age, the Karoo, lasted from 350M-250M years ago. The Pleistocene is only 1.6 M years old. Again, it is STILL getting colder. We don't know why these ice ages come on.

Perfectly intelligent scientists are banging the doomsday drums over a non-existent pattern over a relative fraction of a fraction of a fraction of time.

To claim otherwise proves one of two things; a basic lack of understanding, or, intentional obscurification for political ends.
