While a noble ambition, 'carbon offset' just allows Corporate (using TAXPAYER monies) to continue poisoning the atmosphere without having to reduce ANY of its abuses. And the mature Brazilian rain forests are being destroyed faster than any possibility of these nascent 'forests' to balance the loss. Again, while a noble attempt, it is just mostly Corporate smoke and mirrors because Corporate, at least in the U.S., is legally prevented from any policies that could potentially lower their PROFITS. Stockholders can sue their managers if such policies create loss of expected TAKE (profits). The movement of some countries to sue the poison producers in the 'developed' countries is also a good move but doomed to the influences of money and power in any global legal attempts. The Human world is in a fatal nosedive with blind GREED at the controls and, as noted previously, it is a good time to already be 'old'.
