Asia’s largest art festival Design Festa celebrates 25 years

The greatest art event in Asia, Design Festa vol 49, is coming back on May 18 and 19 at Tokyo Big Sight in the Odaiba area. Launched in 1994 and now held three times a year, the upcoming May edition is set to be bigger, bolder and better than ever.

Featuring about 5,000 booths with over 15,000 artists, designers, musicians, actors and more, Design Festa is a celebration of the arts at which anyone regardless of age, nationality, talents or language can exhibit. Around 60,000 guests are expected to attend over the two days.

Exhibiting artists range in age from children to the elderly and everyone in between. Artists of all levels, from amateur to professional, create artwork spanning genres such as accessories, jewelry, fashion, painting, sculpture, film, theater, dance and much, much more.

The single largest art festival in Asia, the combination of performances, international cuisine, artistic expression, enrichment, diversity and passion found at Design Festa is like that of nowhere else on earth.
