Dec. 8, 2011 - Jan. 16, 2012

The Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, and the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, have both had a dramatic impact around the world. In response to this massive disaster and its tragic consequences to people's lives and environment, the people of Japan are trying to take steps toward recovery.

Meanwhile, the nuclear power plant is still unstable and workers are forced to continue working in life-threatening conditions. As the radioactive contamination spreads, many people including children are forced to suffer from prolonged radiation exposure, unable to evacuate due to lack of support from the government.

In Japan, well over half the population now supports the goal of breaking away from nuclear power. However, many people question whether it is practically possible to bring nuclear power to an end. For these reasons and more, a coalition of Japan-based organizations will hold the Global Conference for a Nuclear Power Free World in Yokohama Jan 14-15, 2012.

This conference will create a venue for people from all around the world to gather in Japan and respond to the reality of Fukushima.

It will bring together the voices of people who suffer from radiation exposure all around the world, whether by nuclear power or nuclear weapons or “Global Hibakusha,” to learn from each other's experiences to illustrate the human and environmental consequences of the nuclear chain.

The conference will also aim to demonstrate that it is realistically possible to create a society that is not dependent on nuclear power.

People from Japan and around the world are encouraged to join the conference through any of the following ways:

-- Provide an individual or organizational message and photograph in support of the conference.

-- Participate in the conference.

-- Organize an event, display or workshop during the conference.

-- Donate to support the organization of the conference.

This is a non-profit event and all participation and ticket sales are to cover the cost of the venue.

The idea that a nuclear-free world would be peaceful is ludicrious.

Sir, The time has come for the whole world to act against nuclear disaster. The only way to put an end is to consume less of energy and food. We need to live with simple food, that is not possible without spiritual understanding of our life and purpose for which we are all here. The earth is one and it is logical that we are all one inspite of our different culture and languages we speak. Too much of materialism has endangered our future and we seemed to have not understood the beauty of Nature and simple living. It is shocking that growth implies materialism and materialism means more consumption,

Ideally a vision for a nuclear free future world would be utopia. I commend those organizations and have great respect for the organizations that come together to share testimonies and information to pursue such a noble goal. However realistically a nuclear free world will never happen happen as long as evil or that negative force or energy rules this world. The manner of evil or negative thinking by the warmongers, terrorist, and creators of chaos are the direct results of supernatural spirits or force or energy that reigns in evil or negativity in order to unleash this terror on unsuspecting civilizations around this world. There are just too many thoughts to consider concerning this matter. There are people that believe coming to this earth as a dreaded experience, but accept it as being the fastest environment in which to learn and progress because of its great adversaries. Earth was put here for us to learn and we are here for that purpose and the meaning of life is to love. But the world will one day come to an end but when? When no one expects it.
