I've always loved the classics. Believed that Disco will never die. That belief was proven this year at the Grammy's where Daft Punk, Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars were all nominated for their musical acheivements. All their albums had the use of the Disco music, especially Daft Punk. Where the whole album is a disco album.
Though I've always loved the classic, Daft Punk and Pharrell gave me a new favorite 3 decades after the Disco Music Era.

This song is exactly what disco is all about. I can't afford to pay the ticket prices, but I love it when people recognize how great Disco Music is! Cheers!

As gogogo said, Disco is mostly mid- to late-70's but the genre carried over to the early 80's with hits from the Bee Gees, Irene Cara, Donna Summer, etc. 80's was mainly pop but also very diverse with post-punk, rock, new wave, and other styles.
Having said that: "Upside Down" - Diana Ross, "Fame" - Irene Cara, "Celebration" - Kool and the Gang, "Forget Me Nots" - Patricia Rushen, just among many 80's dance hits.
