Jarman International Virtual Golf Cup: Practice social distancing, enjoy golf and play for the 100,000 yen prize.

Jarman International KK has held an International Charity Cup at Eastwood Country Club in Utsunomiya, Tochigi Prefecture, since 2018. Now, to protect social distancing and still have a great time competing, Jarman kicked off its official “Virtual” version of the Cup in May.

Jarman International supports Mirai no Mori, a non-profit organization that organizes fun, educational outdoor programs for deserving youth throughout Japan, via sponsorship of the monthly golf cup. The Cup welcomes a growing number of beginner to advanced golfers living in Japan, as well as visitors who want to grow their network in Japan.

How the Virtual Cup Works

Any golfer who plays a round at EastWood Country Club can submit their scorecard for a chance to win the Trophy and a 100,000 yen prize. In the virtual way, small groups and individuals can enjoy the thrill of friendly competition while maintaining social distance. The cup follows "New Peoria System" rules (with an upper limit), which means handicaps are a surprise for each hole to give everyone a fighting chance of winning.

EastWood Country Club’s beautiful course is located just 90 minutes from downtown Tokyo. Designed by renowned golf course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr, with its wide fairways, strategic bunkering, and large, fast greens, the course is also a beloved stop of the Senior Japan Tour.

¥7,500–14,900 per person. Fees change throughout the year, so please refer to our website or contact us for pricing information. A delicious lunch, Japanese hot bath, cart fees, and tax are included. Please inquire about caddy and other services in advance.
