I like yuzu alot! Depending on the part of the country that it is from, it can be sour like a lemon or sweet like a mikan. I really like yuzu sake from the Karuizawa area.

I have oranges and lemons in my yard here in California, and would be willing to try to grow a yuzu. Never heard of them before, but it sounds like they are worth a try.
To anyone who has never tried one, I would suggest putting a little mexican-lime juice into any broth-type soups. Hard to describe, but different from the limes traditionally available here in the States, and a very good flavor when used as an accent.

I absolutely love yuzu. I’ll order something just because it has yuzu in it. I use it a lot in baking as well

Are you sure its Karuizawa? It's much colder than most of the UK, below -10C many times in winter. The sake may be from there, but the yuzu won't be. Yuzu is quite hardy as citrus goes, but only to about zero. Hence the British grower in the story using a greenhouse.

I never said yuzu is from Karuizawa. I said "yuzu sake from the Karuizawa area".
