The famous chain store Don Quijote (also known as Donki) has opened two new stores aimed at tourists: one dedicated to liquor and the other one to sweets.

You can find the Don Quijote discount stores all over Japan, and in my opinion, it is the best place to go whenever you need something (including souvenirs) because of the variety of products available.

In late May, they set up two new stores at Tokyo Station, in the busy Yaesu underground shopping area.

As many tourists love buying liquor and Japanese snacks, Donki came up with a fun and innovative concept of Sweets Donki/Liquor Donki.

The two specialized shops include rare liquor that can only be bought at the Don Quijote Liquor store also a variety of sweets and snacks available at the Don Quijote Sweets store.

There is a wide range of products mainly from Japan and other parts of Asia (mostly, China and South Korea) also a few from Europe.

The Sweets Donki also has a few unusual treats, for example, insect snacks.

Moreover, you can also find unique toy treats and many rare delicacies.

There are around 1,000 types of items, so there are plenty of options you can choose from.

On the other side, the Liquor Donki has around 1,200 beverages variating from rare craft beers and expensive sake (that can even get over 100,000 yen) to party drinks popular among youngsters and various unique items such as Mystery Sparkling Wine Box or Whiskey Gatcha.

The stores are open from 9 am to 11 pm at the Yaesu Underground Shopping Mall (Tokyo Station), so definitely pass by if you are around the area.
