The restaurants at Grand Hyatt Tokyo will gear up for the Halloween festivities by offering a variety of exciting Halloween-themed dishes. The Oak Door will prepare an Instagram-worthy Halloween afternoon tea plate featuring a warm chocolate fondant eyeball cake with white chocolate raspberry sauce filling and cranberry-flavored jelly worms. Big enough to share with a friend, this eerie treat will be offered throughout October.

In addition, The Oak Door Bar will turn into a laboratory complete with test tubes, beakers and love potions during the two weeks leading up to Halloween. Sample the colorful test tube shots, the sangria-style Eternal Beauty or the bartender’s original “Love Potion.” Back by popular demand, The French Kitchen will offer a Halloween-inspired afternoon tea buffet, featuring spooky eats such as “finger cookies” and “eyeball jelly” as well as a selection of fall-inspired savories. Adults and children alike can enjoy this festive buffet, exclusively at The French Kitchen.

With seasonal ingredients like creamy chestnut, rich caramel, and crisp apples, fall is one of the best seasons for desserts. At Fiorentina Pastry Boutique, the award-winning pastry chefs have crafted eight new desserts for fall that will be offered from September. New creations will include Mela Verde, featuring green apple and cream cheese mousse, fresh chestnut éclairs made with homemade chestnut cream and Tentazione, which means “temptation” in Italian and which is made with apples and rich Earl Grey chocolate mousse. Stop by to eat in the light-filled restaurant or take some of these fall treats to go.

Six different award-winning cakes will be offered, including “Soleil,” “Lumière” and “Cirque,” which all won awards at the 2012 Mondial des Arts Sucrés, an international pastry competition held in France. Different cakes will be highlighted every two weeks, and diners can also enjoy ricotta cheese tarts, mango pudding and our popular long eclairs, all accompanied by a choice of one of three organic teas from Los Angeles-based premium organic tea brand, ART OF TEA.

With fall comes truffle season, and at the modern Italian café Fiorentina, guests can enjoy two different dishes featuring the deep musky aroma and rich earthy flavor of Italian truffles. During September and October, indulge in a fresh Italian porcini pasta and risotto, both served with a generous topping of shaved truffles. Matsutake is one of the most sought-after fall ingredients in Japan and teppanyaki restaurant Keyakizaka, will take full advantage of matsutake mushroom season and offer a luxurious 40,000 yen dinner course that will include fragrant dishes featuring this Japanese delicacy as well as rich white truffles.
