Popular Mexican fast-food restaurant Guzman y Gomez (GYG) is expanding in Tokyo with the opening on Nov 15 of its latest store in Shibuya. Located next to Tower Records, it will offer its popular Mexican favorites like burrito, nachos and tacos, as well as something new and served only at the Shibuya store for a limited time — Yuzu Chicken Burrito made of juicy grilled chicken flavored with yuzu pepper.
Besides the standard menu, Mexican bar-style food is available from 5 p.m., among them such favorites as Jalapeno Poppers (a deep fried cream cheese filled jalapeno), costing 540 yen for four pieces or 790 yen for eight pieces; Fajita (a grilled chicken or steak dish served on a hot sizzling grill plate) for 1,500 yen; Steak Fajita (a sizzling plate of lean beef and stir fry veggies) for 2,000 yen; spicy Buffalo Chicken Wings (4 pieces for 540 yen / 8 pieces for 790 yen); and fresh Coriander Salad (regular 540 yen / large 790 yen).
The Yuzu Chicken Burrito (regular 680 yen / large 1,000 yen) is great match and good balance of refreshing yuzu citrus and tingling spice of pepper. Do not miss out as it is only available during this winter season from Nov 15 until the end of March 2018.
The Shibuya restaurant, which seats 60, has big TV monitors where you can enjoy delicious Mexican food as you watch live sports games. It is the perfect place for group use or to just drop in for casual drinks and quick bites. Take-out is also available
GYG, which was established in Australia in 2006, is renowned for selecting ingredients with passion. Pico de gallo, a salsa that uses fresh tomato and onions and guacamole are made daily in the kitchen. Seven types of fillings are all marinated with Mexican spices, grilled at perfect tenderness and guaranteed freshness and high quality ingredients are used to prepare each meal by order. You can also customise your burrito by adding any salsa sauce or toppings. Carry it and eat it in one hand — a perfect healthy meal for busy people on the go.

Good sauces with a range of spiciness. I’ve been to the one in Shinagawa and Harajuku. How many branches are there?
