Park Hyatt Tokyo offering a sweet Christmas

Park Hyatt Tokyo has unveiled its selection of stylish Christmas cakes and desserts as well as special Christmas dinners at New York Grill, Girandole, Kozue and The Peak Lounge.

Pastry Boutique: Christmas Cakes

◆ Bûche Monaco (photo above) 4,500 yen (16cm×8cm)

Manjari dark chocolate Champagne mousse surrounds a center of Amaou strawberry cream and Champagne kissed berry compote. Crisp chocolate sable and chocolate genoise are layered in between. This flavor combination pairs perfectly with champagne, making it a romantic Christmas treat.

◆ Bûche Mont Blanc 4,500 yen (16cm×8cm)

Rich chestnut rum cream wraps a center of hazelnut joconde, praline crunch, and cassis jelly. Glazed in dark chocolate and set on a moist, toasted hazelnut brownie. This vibrant and striking cake is a perfect center piece on any party table this coming holiday season.

◆ Bûche Tokyo 4,500 yen (16cmx8cm)

Uji matcha tea mousse is paired with a center of tangy yuzu curd. Matcha tea sponge is layered with toasted sesame crunch, all resting on a crisp sable biscuit. This elegant masterpiece is sure to be a holiday favorite this year.

◆ Christmas Shortcake 4,300 yen (15cm)

Carefully selected ingredients are used in this original recipe with soft sponge and layers of fresh cream and strawberries, making this shortcake as the most popular choice since the opening of the hotel.

Ibaraki chestnut and dark rum mousseline surround a center of vanilla Chantilly cream and Japanese chestnut pieces. This festive treat is sure to bring a smile around the table during the Christmas season.

◆ Yuzu Pain de Gênes 3,500 yen (18cm)

This special Christmas version of Pain de Gênes is infused with yuzu, a Japanese citrus fruit. This almond-based traditional French dessert is shaped in the form of a star in light of the holiday season and makes for a delicious, sophisticated treat to have with afternoon tea or coffee.

Experience the popular European stollen with the following selection of special holiday flavors; Christmas (marzipan), Mohn (poppy seed and walnut) and Marron (chestnuts and figs).

A classic Italian sweet loaf encrusted with hazelnuts and almonds, infused with orange flower essence and baked with lemon and orange confit, raisins, rum and honey.

Time: From 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. (L.O. 10:00 p.m.)
