Earlier this year, PST Roppongi (PST stands for Pizza Studio Tamaki, after its chef, Tsubasa Tamaki) distributed free pizza making kits called お家de pizza ouchi de piza ("Pizza at home") to families with children junior high school age and under, allowing them to make their own pizza at home!

Kids could experience making pizza at home

The restaurant decided to distribute the handmade kits to children of families who wanted to avoid crowds due to the coronavirus infection, in order to let them have a good time at home.

The pizza dough arrives frozen.

After thawing the pizza dough, you stretch it out by hand, top it with your favorite ingredients, and bake it in a toaster or toaster / oven.

This video explains how it works.

The company distributed 300 sets and surely made many kids and their parents happy. For those families who ordered the kits, it's not hard to imagine the fun conversations that happened as they discussed what kind of ingredients their kids wanted to put on their pizzas.

Chef Tsubasa Tamaki has earned a reputation for making some of the best pies in Tokyo, with both PST locations in Higashi Azabu and Roppongi earning a Bib Gourmand in the 2021 Michelin guide.

Moreover, his pizzas have appeared in magazines and have been introduced on Japanese television shows several times.

The special promotion is now over, but PST Roppongi still offers their "de pizza" DIY pizza kits, as well as their entire line of delicious fresh-frozen pizzas you bake at home.

Some fabulous pizza throughout Japan, but the prices are crazy. It is just flour. Give me a break.

Of couse its going to be expensive. They need to pay the employees who are working so they can have a roof over there heads. No profits no gains.

@Oxi: Why so cheap in America?

Maybe America got it bad . In USA at dominoes you can get 3 pizza with one topping for 15 bucks back in the 2000-2009 based when I was living there and not sure current status but Americans love pizza and the demand must be higher compared to Japanese who rather eat fish.
