ANA InterContinental Tokyo offers live kitchen buffet plus staycation/telework plans

ANA InterContinental Tokyo has come up with some innovative dining, leisure and work ideas to help visitors cope with the summer and the coronavirus.

Cascade Cafe, its popular buffet restaurant, has a new concept. Lunch and dinner now feature appetizers served at your table, a selection of main dishes cooked right in front of you and the usual delectable desserts all served in individual portions.

The restaurant has embraced social distancing by using 30% less seats for all meal periods and with all staff respecting social distancing and hygiene protocols.

■ Time

Lunch: 90 minute-limit

1st seating: 11:30 a.m. or 12 p.m.; 2nd seating: 1:30p.m. or 2 p.m.

Dinner: 120 minute-limit

5 p.m.-9 p.m. (8:30 p.m. last order)

Lunch

Weekdays: 4,000 yen, seniors 3,400 yen, children 2,000 yen

Weekends: 5,000 yen, seniors 4,300 yen, children 2,500 yen

Dinner

Weekends: 6,300 yen, seniors 5,400 yen, children 3,150 yen

*An additional 10% sales tax and 13% service charge will be added.

Foie gras parfait (dinner time only), antipasto mist (green soybeans potato salad, cold ham, smoked salmon, feda cheese and olives, escabeche with vegetables), caesar salad, tomato caprese, smoked duck salad with balsamic sauce, corn soup.

Boiled snow crab (dinner time only), seafood cocktail, broiled salmon and avocado cocktail, octopus ceviche, sushi roll, chirashi sushi, Japanese-style salad seaweed whitebait and okura. Tuna bowl, daily noodles, roast beef, seafood paella, pizza (margherita, cheese) , pasta (tomato and snow crab pasta, meat sauce pasta), curry (beef curry, creen curry with vegetables, seafood curry)

Safety and hygiene management

As the world adjusts to new travel norms and expectations, the hotel is enhancing the experience for guests by redefining cleanliness and supporting wellbeing throughout their stay with the following procedures:

  1. Alcoholic disinfection (handrails, doorknobs in common areas, toilets, around the lobby, etc.) in addition to the usual cleaning.
  2. Installation of alcohol disinfection pumps in public areas (lobby, front desk, restaurant, toilet, etc.)
  3. Disinfection of card keys and pens for each use
  4. Securing social distance
  5. Disinfection of restaurant menu for each use, disposable menu or using digital menu with QR code
  6. Reducing the number of tables in restaurants and limiting the number of reservations at the same time to avoid congestion.
  7. All employees wear masks
  8. Regular hand washing and alcohol disinfection for all employees
