Move over summer fruits and make way for all of autumn’s finest flavors, as Eggs n’ Things announces three new editions to their menu inspired by the fall season.
As the sun gets lower and the days begin to cool down, the dishes at Hawaiian pancake restaurant Eggs n’ Things start getting toastier. Through Sept 23, the popular restaurant is offering two new autumn-inspired dishes and one new seasonal drink; the Mont Blanc Cream Pancake, the Chilli Beans Burger and the Iced Chestnut Latte.
Mont Blanc Cream Pancake
This special seasonal dish sees Eggs n’ Things’ popular pancakes topped with chestnut flavored milk butter cream and sweet boiled chestnuts. With the slightest hint of rum, these rich pancakes are perfect for adults.
In store, the Mont Blanc Cream Pancake is accompanied by whipped cream and ice cream, whilst the takeout option includes a pot of maple syrup.
Price: 1,480 yen
Takeout: 880 yen
Chilli Beans Burger
Sandwiched between two fluffy brioche buns, this spicy chili bean burger is accompanied by freshly made guacamole and Eggs n’ Things potato wedges.
The chili bean mixture inspired by classic American cuisine is made by simmering spices with minced meat and kidney beans.
Price (in store and takeout): 1280 yen
Iced Chestnut Latte
This tasty drink is made by mixing together chestnut cream and rich cafe latte. Available as tall size only, the Iced Chestnut Latte is topped whipped cream and fresh Chestnut syrup.
Price (in store and takeout): 650 yen
These mouthwatering dishes and drinks are available from all domestic Eggs n’ Things restaurants across Japan.

I love Mon Blanc. Maybe not the healthiest of alternatives and not something to chow down on every day, especially with all that whipped cream on the side, but as a seasonal autumn treat it can’t be beat.
This year’s chestnuts are in the shops now. I just spent an afternoon peeling a pile of chestnuts to freeze for Christmas.

I just buy plain old chestnuts. A perfect, healthy snack when I feel peckish. None of the crap they put in the Mont Blanc.
