Burger sharing

Most people don't really want to share their burger with anyone, but for those who do, Burger King Japan has cooked up some new burgers that allow you to enjoy two distinctive tastes. There are two rolls, each with a different taste. The three types are Beef & Chicken, Beef & Chicken with Lemon & Basil Salt Sauce and SPAM & BLT. Happy eating.

SPAM is something best avoided in all situations, not only on the i/net.

SPAM is only consumed by poor people who can't afford real meat. Like Okinawans.

But Okinawa is the only place where I've ever enjoyed spam and gristle. Spam has some pretty nasty oils in it. If you fry it for long enough to get them out, and mix it up with Goya and bean sprouts, etc., it's not bad. And taking a cheap cut of meat with tons of gristle on it and stewing it in Awamori until the cartilage is almost melting and the meat is the tenderest and tastiest pork you've ever eaten is genius.

Well, I have to admit, that comment just left me totally speechless. Wow!

ihavegreatlegs-san - maguro and natto go well, and ika natto is superb, shirako with wasabi sushi, ponzu or tempura-ed, if it's REALLY fresh, is one of my favorite, favorite things to eat. The only problem with it is that it starts to go off seconds after the fish dies.

But not with bread!

Nakaochi and katsuobushi can go very nicely on toast though. Add some soy sauce, wasabi and chopped chives.

Once again, Japan kills an Iconic burger chains wholesome tradition. Anyway, I wanna try raw tuna and peanut butter on a bun. Coming from L.A. were hybrid food is the "in thing", I see great potential in it.

I also tried the Beef & Chicken with Lemon and basil salt sauce one and thought it was actually pretty good except for an overabundance of mayo easily scraped out. What do you expect for 380 yen, Kobe beef ?

I think Natto with Fish, and Chicken with Shirako as a choice would be heaven.
