Skylark family restaurant chain Gusto is carrying out a four-stage campaign called "Thanks! fair" that features a "cheese in hamburg" (their spelling, not ours) with soup set for 390 yen down from 805 yen through Nov 2 for the first stage.
The second stage will go from Nov 3 to Nov 16, the third stage from Nov 17 to Dec 7, and the fourth from Dec 8 to Jan 9. The special menu items for the second, third and fourth stages have not been announced yet, Gigazine reports.
In August, Skylark had to close 120 Gusto outlets in northeastern Japan following an outbreak of dysentery.

That doesn't look like a "hamburger" to me. Where's the bun?

Do you have to pay extra for a side of poisoning, or does it come included with the meal?

I wonder what kind of cheese they are using for this whole dish to have only about 600kcal.

Probably tastes better than it looks!!!

At that price you have to ask a) where is the "beef" from and b) what is the "cheese" made of. Disgusting.

These are the meals that are cooked in China, flash-frozen, shipped to Japan, and then thawed out and cooked again, thus giving them the soggy-looking wilted quality which is nothing as how the meals are depicted in the menu.

I would not give that to my dog.
I actually tried to give a McDonald's Big Mac one day and it refused it. I think she would run away with her tail between her legs if she had that lovely burger with the melted macaroni coming out of it in front of her.

It's 'hamburg' which is never a hamburger over there....
That said, I really enjoyed Gusto burgers when I got the chance. Yes! I did.

Is that really a marketing photo or is it done to scare away more customers? Gross. Looks like bodily bluid coming out of someones abdomen.

Does it come with a free roll of toilet paper?

That's the Japanese pronunciation for their hamburger meatloaf. They say the one on a bun as hambaga.

I know you all are going to hate me, but I think it looks yummy! No real big complaints about Gusto from me except that it stinks big time of SMOKE not nice hickory smoke but STALE TOBACCO smoke just when you open the door to go in here in my local Gusto of Kodaira, Tokyo, since I really hate smoking, this is what makes me sick there at Gusto, but this hambagu as Mr.Jack Stern says, well I have had worse, I think it is better than MC Donald's, Mos Burger and all that other crap, except for Chicken MC Nuggets, god I love em!! and Mos chicken too! The drink bar at Gusto is not too bad, on a hot day, sit there and drink away for 180 yen??
