zichi: use thick homemade yoghurt instead of the mayonnaise and black vinegar instead of cider and a drop of sesame oil and a walnut on top.

Haha! So basically make an nearly different recipe - but for the eggs!

Japanese people love eggs. It is our dna, haha. I can say a few times I have been to USA, and friends have made deviled eggs at the bbq party or backyard eating with friends. They have a slightly strange taste, different, but not so bad.

My wife makes great devilled eggs. Sometimes she'll halve the dijon with Japanese mustard (からし) - or sometimes with wasabi. Whenever she puts out a plateful, I never am sure what to expect, but they're always great, especially as a chilled meal in summer.

Devilled eggs are horrible.

Surprised they aren't raw.
