Japan Airlines (JAL) and Mos Food Services Inc will introduce their newest collaboration menu, "AIR MOS Salad Burger" on select outbound flights from Japan to North America, Europe and Australia, starting June 1.
"AIR MOS Salad Burger" is the sixth collaboration of a series of innovative in-flight menus designed by JAL and MOS BURGER jointly, following the previous provision of well-received menus such as AIR MOS TERIYAKI BURGER, AIR MOS RICE BURGER, AIR MOS TERIYAKI EGG BURGER etc.

JAL passengers onboard can enjoy arranging and making their own burger and savor harmony of all the layers.
This exclusive hamburger is a collaboration of MOS BURGER's respect for Japanese food culture, and JAL's commitment to provide high quality service with the spirit of Japanese hospitality.

MOS Burger is a joke. Just give me the fish & rice and I when I land stateside, I'll get me a "real" burger.

Not serving this in first class????

I had this on a JAL flight from Tokyo to Sydney last December. It was one of the most revolting things to ever grace a plane. They also served it for breakfast, which proved a catastrophe as hardly anyone finished it

Did you walk around and check how much each passenger had eaten?
dcog9065
Not every passenger, but my entire row about 5 people barely touched it and going to the toilet later saw that that was fairly common. I was starving and I couldn't finish mine. Plus those burgers drip sauce all over the place, not ideal for a cramped economy seat. It would have been much better for lunch, but even then iffy. For breakfast it was a disaster

Wouldn't be a happy camper if I was served this.

MOS Burger is notorious for squirting gallons of materials and sauces out the back? I would love to see kids eating this on a plane. What a mess it will be, and that smell. yuckers...worse than United Cup o Noodles.

I guess ANA had a better idea however, their food is usually very good, so not really necessary for THAT reason... JAL should maybe think about getting a couple of doctors on-board too.. !

I've been saying for years that the aviation catering industry ought to be outsourced to the fast food companies. The horrible concoctions known as airline food are worse than anything even Mickie D's can churn out. The sooner this sort of thing happens the better IMO.

The smell in the cabin must be horrible.

Am I the only one who nearly fell out of her seat with laughter upon reading this? It's a hamburger, people!
