Jamie’s recipes are great, I have several of his books and they are well used.

@BigYen. I do the weekend cooking and can honestly answer.....no. I watch his videos and Gordon Ramsey’s and can’t keep up probably the wine

I’m actually doing cannelloni tonight and integrating some of his stuff into mama’s recipe

These British Chef are considered Very Top and Famous in the world but all they did was to check and taste the local street foods all around the world and make it their style adding some bits here and there, which they could never do that in their own country, a country of just fish and chips, and mashed potatoes, that's it.

Not entirely, you have more Japanese chefs that are some of the top contenders

but having said that Oliver is a good chef, very organic in his approach makes amazing colorful dishes and definitely changed the way British food is cooked and presented by giving it a more healthier makeover.

Jamie Oliver is a Cook, a Chef and a business man?

Well those 1000 plus employees could and would contend otherwise, and righty so.

I never thought Jamie really understood food. Food in the UK was improving all over the place before he came around with his Naked Chef program. He was barely out of culinary school, with little real experience in kitchens. His cooking experience is mostly on TV. He's a good self promoter, but not really a great chef.

Commanteer. . Fully agree. All talk.

in strong contrast with Chef Gordon Ramsay, who is a superb cook and businessman.

Fish tacos are as old as Baja California. Usually they use cod but any good fish will do. All this fellow did was try a different kind of fish. No big innovation here.

What a load of codswallop. You’re ‘aving a giraffe mate. Pull the other one, its got bells on.
