Japanese bakeries often offer a wide variety of flavored breads, but sometimes its the shape of the loaf that steals the show, as seen recently with extra fluffy kitty and corgi butt bread. Now thanks to a newly opened bakery in Fujikawaguchiko, travelers taking in splendid views of Mt Fuji can take home a slice of Japan's iconic mountain for themselves with new bread shaped and inspired by Mt Fuji.

Do NOT click on the Corgi Butt Bread link. I did. And it burnt my retinas.

Your post made me curious. So I clicked. My retinas are OK, but - I was hungry, and now my appetite's just disappeared. I should be right in a day or so.

Re the Mt Fuji "bread", is it bread? Or is it cake? Either way, I'd like to try it. When my appetite comes back.

That's the problem with Japanese bread. It's fluffy. If it's cake, just call it cake.
