Lotteria to offer massive Burger with Everything on It

By Casey Baseel, RocketNews24

Looks like the hamburger chain that craziness built wants its gigantic burger throne back.

McDonald’s recently caused a stir in Japan with the release of its Giga Big Mac, an extra-large version of its already extra-large signature burger. But while the idea that you can never have too much of a good thing is a compelling argument, there’s still no getting around the fact that the Giga Big Mac is simply a really convenient way to order and eat roughly three Big Macs in one fell swoop.

Some people, though, desire a burger with not only enough quantity for several meals, but enough variety for several different dishes. So they might want to bypass the Golden Arches and head to the Crimson L of rival hamburger chain Lotteria, which for a limited time is bringing back its Burger with Everything on It (called the “Zenbu Nose Burger” in Japanese).

This isn’t the first time Lotteria has offered this massive sandwich that looks like it’s about to give you a great big hug, but the exact ingredients are a little different from last year’s version, which is pictured above. This iteration of the Burger with Everything on It has four patties: regular hamburger, cheeseburger, fried shrimp, and rib. More hearty deliciousness come from bacon, sliced cheese, and a soft-boiled egg. The towering burger also checks off the food pyramid’s vegetable section with lettuce, cabbage, tomato and onion. Finally, in keeping with the burger’s magnanimously inclusive attitude, the sauce is a mix of teriyaki, regular mayonnaise, spicy mayonnaise, tartar sauce, meat sauce, and ketchup.

The 1,350-yen Burger with Everything on It goes on sale April 28, and will be offered until May 31. That’s a longer period of availability than many limited-time menu items get in Japan, but considering how long it’ll probably take to digest, we recommend hitting up Lotteria as soon as possible in case you feel like going back for another before June.

I`m sure the cold quasi beef patty will taste great.

Better still, knock it AND don't try it.

Buy one, split it with friends

Lotteria a.k.a. the diarrhea lottery-yeah! (new slogan hype)

They maybe believe people will fall for quantity....another epic failure ahead.

Nope. Look at all the free advertising they get from people discussing this. Sure, it's not going to be a big seller, but this isn't the kind of product they're going to base their yearly profit forecasts on. Instead, a few people will eat it, some will blog, lots will discuss, and Lotteria gets talked about everywhere for an extremely low price.

It's marketing mastery.

Stupid gimmick. Does anybody actually buy these monstrocities? And eat them?

nose booger?

This burger is called a "junior" in the US.

This burger looks like the burger version of the Saturday Night Live infinite taco joke...

Zip-Zap in Omotesando has a great burger. 7025 Franklin Avenue in Gotanda has another great burger. There is a place in Nakameguro that also cooks up some nice burgers as well, though I can't remember the name at the moment.

Good burgers can be had in Tokyo.

I'm still looking for a place in Japan that serves a decent burger as good as In & Out in California nothing has come close ~ I went to Lotteria once and thought their patty were made from Dog meat and will never go back again ~

I honestly hate Lotteria burgers, even more than MOS Burger

A lot of the times McDonald's or other burger shops offer good looking burgers then you eat it and the sauce kills it. Mixing too many types of sauces plush the shrimp will kill the flavor.

That looks utterly revolting. I've seen some curry restaurants that do similar sorts of things, sticking fried shrimp, pork cutlets, shredded cabbage and tartar sauce all on one plate with the curry and rice. Wouldn't touch that either.

I take it Super Size Me was never released in Japan?

Pity the article doesn't state how many calories this has!

This is clearly a marketing gimmick. Surely no-one will actually buy this, as who could eat it?

'Make me one with everything', said the Buddhist to the Lotteria staff.

Yuck

The road was blocked ahead on Sunday, When we finally managed to move, there was a line of cars down the middle of the road wanting to turn right into the McD driver-through, which too was jammed solid out onto the sidewalk. I saw the same phenomenon at a different McD branch later in the afternoon. These giant jawbreakers must be appealing to some.

Frak, just looking at that thing makes my Arteries close up ...

And the price is outrageous for a Burger, you can get a full lunch set incl drink for a similar price or 2 sets of curry with as much naan as you can eat.

I thought McD already was bad with their LL-sized Big Mac.

2 days calories in one sitting, god it looks sooooooo bad.

Disgusting.

No way Mike...this wouldn't sell in the US. Salsa, fried shrimp, and ribs on one sandwich is blasphemy and down right disgusting. Just like Corn and Tarako on pizza.

Exactly. I don't know what is about some burger places in Japan, but they just cannot burgers right. A Lotteria fast food restaurant in the US wouldn't survive 2 weeks.

They should have loyalty cards - ten stamps for your own defibrillator.

3 ( +3 / -0 )

Worth a try, cept for the shrimp!

Great! Looks really unappetizing.

I hope they offer it FREE if you finish it with in 1 minute.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

I think you'd have to tear it down to eat it, there is no way you could get a bite of everything on the burger in one bite, unless maybe you squished it down as hard as you could and compacted it.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

Would be popular in the States, washed down with a L size Coke (5 liters).

This kind of limited burger is impressive because of new topic for us consumers. But it is unclear whether we buy and eat or not. I expect their sales will go well in future although I prefer MOS BURGER.

1 ( +2 / -1 )

It comes with a side order of Lipitor

0 ( +1 / -1 )

How does one get that into one's mouth ? (Not that it matters to me - I never eat in those places).

3 ( +3 / -0 )

What a piece of j unk food.
