Tried and true way to lose weight: eat fewer calories than you burn a day.

Coffee with cream and sugar, oatmeal and soft boiled eggs!

I had to make weight for wrestling in high school. I would simply not eat until I hit my weight. I also tried eating then puking which actually allows you to enjoy food to some extent, and reducing weight by chewing a lot of gum and spitting it out. Finally, there were good old 3 mile jogs wearing a garbage bag under my clothes to accelerate sweating and weight loss. None of this is healthy but it did work.

Diet or not---sloth and gluttony are the cause of over weight--so eat less. Simple.
