In principle, their decision to get rid of artificial food is probably a good idea. What I do know for sure is that their burgers from 50 years ago tasted much, much better than whatever it is they are serving today.

That's an urban legend.

The tip of the iceberg. How many more fast food chains out there are giving their customers junk?

Where's the beef!

"Only the pickle slices still contain an artificial preservative, the American fast food giant said, noting that "customers are able to skip it if they prefer."
Don't their pickles contain the natural preservative vinegar? Heck, whenever I get a Whopper at BK, I tell them "Heavy pickles." I guess I'll have to see if they use artificial preservatives in their pickles now, lol

"100% pure beef" just means it came from a cow. We never knew which parts. Intestines are highly desired for other needs, so those probably didn't make it into McDs beef, but there are lots of other parts to a cow.
Wrong company.

vegan supplement burgers are winning and vegan foods increased by $16 billion. McDonalds saw the writing on the wall. The "McVegan" was only be sold at McDonald's in Tampere, Finland, but given that success they will change
With the Impossible Burger and others out there to great success outside of McDonalds, this will only increase.

vegan milk increased by $16 Billion by this year & vegan protein expected to reach $16.3 billion by 2026
You won't have to eat bugs, you can eat real food that won't give your cholesterol, and thus won't increase heart diseases and cancer

I think the key point is that it's now fresh instead of pre-cooked or whatever they did before.

So their claim of 100% pure beef the last 50 yrs wasn't true?
I'd always assumed that meant the burger part actually came from some part of a cow, but it seems that wasn't factually correct?

They have a company called "100% pure beef" that supplied their meat. That doesn't mean the product itself is 100% pure beef.
