An authentic Italian food festival will be held in Tokyo on May 28. This event is one of the "Extraordinary Italian Taste" projects promoted by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, to protect the true value of Italian ingredients and to introduce genuine Italian cuisine to consumers outside of Italy.

It will actually be the first of the projects to run in Asia and will be celebrating true Italian tastes with over 30 Italian chefs serving up more than 1,000 traditional Italian meals, including bread, pizza, pasta, focaccia, oils and finger foods.

Special guest, Benedetta Parodi, a famous TV cooking personality in Italy, will be live streaming straight from her studio. Other special guests joining the event include Francesco Bellissimo, an Italian celebrity chef, and Andrea Cocco Hirai, a Japanese/Italian actor/model who loves to cook. The event will conduct a large-scale Italian tasting party alongside seminars, workshops and the promotion of true Italian brands.

The one day limited event is open to the public from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., on the 4th, 5th and 6th floors of Shibuya Stream.
