If you see anyone wearing a trench coat lumbering through the streets of Tokyo muttering “S.T.A.R.S…” this summer, chances are they’re either a deadly mutant bent on revenge or a satisfied (yet inappropriately-dressed) customer of Biohazard Café & Grill S.T.A.R.S, a new "Resident Evil" themed restaurant that opened in Shibuya on July 13.
The restaurant is on the 7th floor of the Shibuya PARCO and has a "Resident Evil" inspired menu (though no “Jill sandwich”, unfortunately), replica props from the game and plenty of rare "Resident Evil" memorabilia on sale, stranger!
The centerpiece of the restaurant is a one-to-one scale Tyrant that, as a part of a fancy in-house performance using 3D projection mapping, suddenly awakens and attempts to break out of its glass prison until S.T.A.R.S’ sexy all-female task force “S.T.A.R.S. ANGELIQUE” subdues the mutant with firearms and hot dance moves.
The company that developed the technology used in the giant mutant/ dancing girls show was developed by mobile AR (augmented reality) marketing company Koozyt. During a press conference held at the restaurant, Koozyt Founder & CEO Takahiko Sueyoshi said he believes this is the first time projection mapping utilizing short focus lens in a compact area has been used in a restaurant.
Also at the press conference was former heavyweight kickboxer Nicholas Pettas as the restaurant’s “commander-in-chief.” It is said that Pettas will be making surprise appearances at S.T.A.R.S throughout the year and even has a special “surprise event” planned for customers.
If S.T.A.R.S. seems right up your dark, zombie-infested ally, you should make sure to plan a trip soon: the restaurant will only be open for about a year and is stocked with limited-edition goods that you can only get there.

Doubt if westerners will be attracted to a restaurant with appetizing name "Biohazard". But I'll concede the young women look cute.
