Kappa Sushi is a popular sushi restaurant with locations throughout Japan. They aim for quality by reviewing not only the main ingredients but also the basics of sushi such as wasabi and soy sauce. Their goal is to provide a sushi restaurant experience with delicious sushi, maintaining high quality and service unparalleled among conveyor belt sushi restaurants.

If you love sushi and you live in Japan, you may want to mark your calendars for Sunday, Sept 26. Kappa Sushi is offering an unprecedented sale on not just selected items, but on ALL sushi plates.

According to their press release, they decided to do this as a promotion, with the hopes of inviting more customers to experience Kappa Sushi. "Whether you have never experienced Kappa Sushi before, have not been to Kappa Sushi for a while, or are a regular customer, we want all of our customers to enjoy the new Kappa Sushi. We believe you'll be convinced it's delicious!"

In order to carry out this unprecedented offer, Kappa Sushi needed to cut costs in a way that wouldn't affect the quality of their sushi and their service. Therefore, with their employees' cooperation, they cut advertising costs by asking employees to help spread the word through social media.

Please note that the restaurants may need to restrict the number of customers they can serve at any given time in order to maintain safety.

For more information on the promotion and to see find the closest Kappa Sushi location near you, visit their official website here.

Now their CEO was arrested. This guy was actually in the US for a while when he worked at his old company. I have heard stories that he was arrogant, entitled, and regularly mistreated restaurant waitstaff and service workers wherever he went.

Low quality in Japan maybe but gourmet level in most western countries. Especially at around a buck a plate!

We always tend to go to Kappa Sushi because Sushiro and Kura are crowded on the weekend. You can always get a seat right away at Kappa where I am at. Hamazushi is not crowded either but I don't care for it.

Kappa-sushi has been trying to make a comeback but they have been mired with difficulties. Their new CEO, Kouki Tanabe is under investigation for allegedly illegally stealing information from his previous employer.

Low quality in my opinion.
