The eggwich, alternatively written as egg'wich, is a new kind of burger that replaces hamburger buns with eggs. It has been drawing attention lately as a healthy alternative to conventional bread burgers since it allows you to boost your protein intake while reducing your sugar consumption.
It was created in the United States, so it may come as a surprise to learn that the first eggwich specialty store isn't opening in San Francisco or New York but rather halfway across the world in Osaka, Japan.
Don't Worry Egg'wich
The world's very first eggwich specialty shop, Don't Worry Egg'wich will open for business on Nov 24 in Osaka.
Don't Worry Egg'wich use their own original recipe to make egg buns with a light, fluffy texture and a moderately sweet taste. Sandwiched between these egg buns are juicy 100% beef patties, fresh crispy lettuce and tomatoes chosen for their moderate acidity, for a delicious and nutritionally balanced combination.
One Don't Worry Egg'wich eggwich has only has 9.7 grams of sugar and 228 calories, while packing 23.6 grams of proteins. They're also great from the point of view of PFC balance. In other words, just like the store's name implies, you don't need to worry when you sink your teeth into one of their delicious eggwiches.
Sample of menu selections
In addition to the standard eggwich which costs 390 JPY (pictured in the menu below), you can also order a cheese eggwich and a double-double with two 100% beef patties. Eggwiches can be ordered a-la-carte or in a set with fries and a drink.

I make a mean veggie burger....
They’re not selling ‘fake hamburgers’, they’re selling fake hamburger buns.
Folk who don’t like bread (what’s not to like about bread??) might want to sandwich their patties with egg buns. It’s a free world, as the saying goes.
What’s a full English egg?
???
What do food preferences have to do with self-respect or personality?

A burger with a “healthy alternative” lower carb bun as their business model, paired with... carby fries and carby sugar coke. They haven’t thought this concept through.

In-N-Out has an off -menu item called a "Protein Style" hamburger. It could be any of their single or double burgers but instead of a bun it's wrapped in hand leafed lettuce. Yum :) It has been around for a couple of decades. These guys are late to the party.

Marry a woman from a different ethnicity half way around the world from where you were born and see the reaction when you just can't make yourself eat some of her ethnic delights. Black fungus for example. Or fish heads. They you will know, lol. Believe me.

My doctor told me to order these. She said I wasn't getting enough cholesterol.
