One concern about cashless restaurants is that they exclude would-be customers who don't have bank accounts or credit cards. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. found in a 2015 survey that about 9 million households didn't have bank accounts. Nearly 60 percent of households without bank accounts or cards said they didn't have enough money to keep in an account.

Then they cannot afford to eat out anyway. Logical.

I don't have a bank account, and never had a credit card! I have plenty of cash to spend, but if they don't want my cash I will just go someplace that wants it! I refuse to go cashless!

Here in Japan, I have the opposite problem. I want to pay with my credit card, but restaurants often only accept cash...

This has been orchestrated by the banks so they can charge service fees for card use. Also, the government can track where and what is being spent and other companies can target marketing propaganda.
