Try cooking a Big Mac in rice cooker

ROCKET NEWS 24 introduces some interesting recipes for cooking Big Macs, french fries and chicken McNuggets in a rice cooker.

Here is how to make what it calls the ”McDonald’s Miracle Mixed Rice." Don't say we didn't warn you.

1. Wash rice.

Wash 1 or 2 cups of rice. If you use too much rice, the taste becomes weaker. Leave a little water with the rice and put it in the rice cooker.

2. Put in french fries.

Put french fries on top of the rice. The fries will absorb the water. Don’t worry about the quantity of water, since you are going to add Coca-Cola later.

3. Put Big Mac in the rice cooker.

Put the Big Mac in the rice cooker. It’s best to remove the bottom bun because it will absorb the water, affecting the taste.

4. Add Chicken McNuggets.

Place Chicken McNuggets in the rice cooker, then add tomato sauce.

5. Coca-Cola next.

Pour in some Coca-Cola. The important thing is that you DO NOT use regular Coke, but Coca Cola ZERO. Regular Coke makes the taste too sweet.

6. Start cooking.

Cook at the mode that you usually cook rice. After about an hour, your “McDonald’s Miracle Mixed Rice” is ready to ... eat.

7. Finish!

After you have finished, check the buns again. If the buns have absorbed too much water, remove them. No need to waste them, though. Just put the buns with an egg, a little milk and sugar in a pan, so that it tastes like French toast.

I would love to try this but I would not make it on my own because I'll probably mess it up.

haha, this cracks me up. still can't beet a cheeseburger with chips and mayo on it... super fatty.. but sometimes you just need to do it.

Who thinks this stuff up?

An American gourmet chef, of course!

This is top of the line, American cuisine!

Kinda sounds like a recipe for barf stew...

This recipe sounds like it was thought by some lonely otaku, who does not know how to cook (of course), and has not seen a live undressed lady also in years...

Rocket 24 has posted it on a video for anyone not being completely clear about this recipe.

I find it to be a very good idea. How many times do you go to McDo for a take-out and by the time you get home the whole burger is cold? If you heat it up in the microwave, it will come out all soggy - so will the fries and the nuggets. With the rice cooker, it probably still comes out soggy but you don't have to care anymore because you are mixing it with everything anyway. I loved the last part where the guy ate it with chopsticks, something that would be impossible to do otherwise. Great creativity!

This recipe is almost criminal... and that's from someone who loves Mac...

I'm kidding...

I had a bit of free time this weekend so I made this... it was surprisingly good!

wonderful

What is all the fuss? If you like all these things, and tend to eat them at the same time, you are mixing them in your mouth anyway. This is just a more complete mix...with water instead of saliva...and with rice. Big deal.

I know someone who tried this and said it actually tasted pretty good. But then, he's hardly a gourmet...

Spoken with full irony and maximum disdain, of course.

This is great! Hahahahahahahahaha

Say whaaat?? It must be a joke, right? Looks like a kid's first experiment in the kitchen LOL.. There's no way I'd eat that!

It's good to see Japanese developing such a fondness for traditional Western foods!

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I might put this in my rice cooker tonight.... Or not

0 ( +0 / -0 )

I thought that was takoyaki in there with the bigmac.

0 ( +0 / -0 )

Hm. I like to think I have an open mind and I my mother always said, "don't knock it until you've tried it".

Well, I would try this, if someone made it for me, but I don't think I'll do it on my own as it really doesn't look healthy and I already have a bad enough diet.

Bizarre is sometimes good.

Why doesn't someone just vomit into the rice cooker? I'm sure the result will be the same.

One of my first Japanese phrases was taught to me by my wife's ikebana sensei- when offered something you don't want, say "kekkoo desu." Applies perfectly....

"Slow cook chicken legs in cola for 2 hours. It is fantastic!"

Ah so! OK, I might try that, as long as I don't have to put a Big Mac or McNuggets in it.

1 ( +1 / -0 )

Japanese people would never put a big mac or cola in a rice cooker.

However, cola is quite good for cooking with. Slow cook chicken legs in cola for 2 hours. It is fantastic!

Just put it straight into the toilet, miss out the middle.

4 ( +5 / -1 )

I was already laughing my ass off when I read "Pour in some Coca-Cola," and then I totally lost it -

Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

4 ( +5 / -1 )

this is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen in my LIFE.

5 ( +5 / -0 )

Apart from sounding gross, it's hardly fast food... what IS the point?!

5 ( +5 / -0 )

this is a cheap trick to make an advert for makdonald's junk food and koke. the best ingredient of all is the cancerogenous artificial sweetener in the 0-koke. (btw, hope you've noticed i try - but sometimes forget - to never spell correctly the names of commercial products)

I'm lovin it ~

I cook rice in a pressure cooker (atsu ryoku nabe). Can I still use the same recipe?

ROCKET NEWS 24 introduces some interesting recipes for cooking Big Macs...

Just because they introduce stupid recipes doesn't mean JT has to. What gives?

3 ( +5 / -2 )

One question - why?

3 ( +6 / -3 )

OK then... what about we put raw tuna, rice, a bit of wasabe, couple of eggs, sea urchin, beer, sake, shrimp, and some miso shiru in the cooker as well?

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

I feel ill just reading this.

-1 ( +4 / -5 )

Hahaha I see the inventor of this horrific glob and his assistant has visited this site and given everyone the thumbs down for our appraisal of his culinary skill.

-1 ( +3 / -4 )

Dump a bottle of Pepto Bismol in there.

1 ( +3 / -2 )

Sounds terrible.

3 ( +6 / -3 )

Big Mac zuke ??

-1 ( +2 / -3 )

Whose idea was this. It sounds awful.

If it taste like french toast why not just get french toast. Isnt that less troublesome.

That is just a hot mess.

Is this Japanese cuisine at its finest? Give your arteries a break and give this a miss...... Now where did I put the salt, mayonnaise and ketchup I need for my KFC Chicken Filet Double.

-3 ( +1 / -4 )

I'll add a baked apple pie for good measure

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

Why not just put it all in a blender and hit the puree button?

4 ( +6 / -2 )

My point is that there's a good chance this will make you nauseous after eating it.

It will make anyone with a healthy digestive system nauseous before eating it. Just reading the article was enough. I will spend the rest of today feeling thankful that I don't have to eat that muck.

-4 ( +6 / -10 )

Nearly as disgusting as those "Epic Meals" videos on Youtube.

No thanks.

-4 ( +2 / -6 )

I don't think I'll eat any McDonalds' food in the near furture, my subconscious just barfed while reading this.

2 ( +4 / -2 )

Jason : My point is that there's a good chance this will make you nauseous after eating it. And don't make it a habit either, because there are long term health consequences. This stuff will eventually catch up to you.

1 ( +5 / -5 )

Infusing rice with artificial mac flavors? hmmm someone should make a boullion cube for that.

-2 ( +1 / -3 )

"This is a huge portion of salt, sugar, fat and calories."

Your point, sir?

-8 ( +3 / -11 )

This is a huge portion of salt, sugar, fat and calories.

1 ( +4 / -3 )

It makes my mouth water...
