In my opinion, when you feel they are ready and when they start showing interest. My 6 and 4 year olds help me a lot when making the morning miso soup. They've helped me make baked goods, salads, and sometimes dinner. It's always a pleasure while sharing moments and making memories.

And when they've graduated from university, explain how to convert between grams, ounces, cups, tablespoons etc.

Print and laminate a conversion chart, unless they want to go on to become a chef or baker.
