I always find shop-bought barbecue sauces to be a bit revolting. Not sure why. Perhaps a homemade version would be nicer.

30 minutes to make barbecue sauce? I'm sure it's good, but most any cook can whip up a barbecue sauce in 3 minutes that tastes better than any store bought version. Cheaper, too.

If you can get access to a Japanese-oriented supermarket here in the USA, you could even attempt to make your own tonkatsu sauce. I've known of several people in Hawaii who actually tried this with surprisingly good results.
